On July 16, 2012, Sakaeronavigatsia Ltd signed an agreement with BUREAU VERITAS to implement a quality management system in the Meteorological Service. Under the agreement, for all employees of the Meteorological Service was conducted a quality management system training course in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001-2008, and a number of specialists, in accordance with the ISO 19011: 2011 standard, passed an internal auditor course in the quality management system ISO 9001-2008 international standard. The full staff of the Meteorological Service actively cooperated with BUREAU VERITAS to implement a quality management system in the Meteorological Service in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001-2008.
On January 23, 2014, Sakaeronavigatsia Ltd signed a new agreement with BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION for quality management system certification. The first stage of the audit was conducted in February 2014, and the second stage (certification audit) in April.
After the completion of the audits, BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION recognized the compliance of the quality management system of the meteorological service of Sakaeronavigatsia Ltd with the standard of the ISO 9001-2008 management system. On May 7, 2014, the Meteorological Service of Sakaeronavigatsia Ltd received the relevant ISO certificate.
In 2016, the Meteorological Service conducted introductory trainings for the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 standard for all employees, conducted auditor and lead auditor trainings, and established a group of auditors and lead auditors.
A recertification audit was conducted in April 2017, conducted by the company BUREAU VERITAS CERTIFICATION.
On April 28, 2017, the Meteorological Service was awarded the ISO 9001: 2015 standard quality management system certificate.
On July 27, 2021, an agreement was signed with the certification company URS POLSKA. The certification body (URS POSKA) conducted certification audits against the ISO 9001: 2015 standard in the Meteorological Department in October 2021. Based on the audit report, the Meteorological Service was awarded with quality management system ISO 9001:2015 certificates, which include meteorological offices in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Ambrolauri and Mestia.
The quality management system implies permanent control of the services provided by the Meteorological department, reduces risks and, most importantly, promotes the continuous development of the service.
