The top management of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Training Centre is in Georgia at the invitation of “Sakaeronavigatsia” Ltd. of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

Yaniv Sorany and Vyron Loupasis got acquainted with the training process implemented in Sakaeronavigatsia., visited the training center equipped with a modern 3D ATC simulator of INDRA. The parties discussed the possibility of regional cooperation in detail and planned future joint projects within the frameworks of the meeting.

It was decided at the meeting that the International Air Transport Association Training Center will prepare a sector analysis of the Georgian aviation market within the scope of future regional cooperation. According to the survey, infrastructure capabilities, visa politics, competitiveness and tariffs, the number of specialists in the field, as well as other options of the training center of “Sakaeronavigatsia” will be assessed.

“Opening of the regional training center in Tbilisi will further enhance the relations of Sakaeronavigatsia with international aviation organizations, as well as with air navigation service providers (ANSPs) of the neighboring countries. We have studied the operational and commercial capabilities of the training center and express our readiness to establish the training center meeting the international standards in the region, where specialists from neighboring countries’ aviation sector will be trained together with the staff of Sakaeronavigatsia. We are working very hard to make the International Air Transport Association assign regional importance to our training center,” - said Mr. Gocha Mezvrishvili, Director General of Sakaeronavigatsia. of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
