Contract between “Sakaeronavigatsia” Ltd. and Company “Thales”

“Sakaeronavigatsia” Ltd. of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and company “Thales” signed the Contract on Radar System Maintenance on February 17, 2016. The cost of the project totals 2 million EUR. The contract was signed by Mr. Gocha Mezvrishvili, the Director General of “Sakaeronavigatsia” Ltd. and Mr. Olivier Achard, Sales Director of company “Thales”.

According to the contract, the French company undertakes to provide maintenance of Tbilisi (Point 1100; Tbilisi Airport) and Poti radars over the next 5 years. The project also provides technical inspection of the radars by the representative of “Thales” once a year, based on which an annual report will be drafted. According to the above contract, the training is scheduled as well, which will enable the employees of “Sakaeronavigatsia” Ltd. to improve their skill level in both theoretical and practical terms. In addition, the contract provides permanent service of company “Thales” through e-mail and hotline.

The radar systems of “Sakaeronavigatsia” Ltd. will be in constant compliance with the international standards and recommendations due to maintenance of company “Thales”, which in turn will allow the company to serve the airlines effectively.
